POOL RULES
The Pool Rules and Regulations are part of Pebble Creek’s
continuing effort to provide a safe recreational environment. Our pool cannot
be operated safely without a reasonable set of rules and their strict
enforcement. Cooperation of all residents is necessary. The pool attendant on
duty has the authority to enforce these rules and may require any resident or
guest violating these rules to leave. Repeated violations of pool rules and/or
failure to cooperate with attendants may result in loss of pool privileges.
Lap lanes are available to ADULTS ONLY 30 minutes prior to the pool
opening. Otherwise, no one will be allowed in the swimming pool enclosure
unless the pool is officially open. Anyone who enters the pool premises when it
is not open will be subject to loss of pool privileges as well as trespassing
charges.
Membership cards are required for entry to the pool and must be
presented when requested by an attendant. If you do not already have one they
can be obtained from a pool attendant. You must present a picture ID with a
Pebble Creek address in order to obtain a membership card.
State law requires everyone to shower prior to entering the pool.
Oils, lotions, hair gels, etc come off in the water and cause excessive wear on
the pool filter. Use of sunscreen is encouraged but must be limited to those
that are waterproof only.
There will be NO smoking, illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages on
the deck or in the park. Anyone appearing to be under the influence of alcohol
or narcotics will be denied admission or asked to leave.
No roller blades, skateboards or bicycles inside the pool building.
All bicycles should be parked in the provided bike racks.
Glass, chewing gum, electrical equipment and pets are prohibited
within the pool enclosure. Food and drink are permitted but only at the
provided tables, chairs and loungers (public health policy requires that food
remain a minimum distance of 4 feet from the pool).
Members are responsible for their children and guests who use the
facility. Our pool’s maximum capacity, as governed by state law, is 70. In
order to accommodate as many residents as possible, guests are generally
limited to no more than three at a time. However, arrangements can be made for
a reasonable number of additional guests by calling the pool office 973-8064
prior to your arrival. Please contact our administrator for information
regarding scheduling a pool party.
All children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible
adult (age 18+).
There will be no lifeguard present. All persons using the pool do
so at their own risk.
All infants/children age 3 and under must wear a disposable swim
diaper covered by separate rubber/vinyl pants, all of which must fit snugly
around the legs and waist. If an accident occurs, notify the attendant
immediately. The child must leave the pool immediately and may not return until
he/she has been given a soap shower and has been recovered by a new diaper with
clean rubber/vinyl pants.
Running, jumping, using profane language or other forms of
disruptive and disorderly behavior are prohibited.
Residents may sign out approved pool toys from an attendant. Please
be sure to return them prior to leaving the pool. These include things such as
dive rings, dive sticks, neoprene balls, soft frisbees and a basketball hoop.
Residents are welcome to bring similar toys of their own to play with as well
as “noodles”, goggles, masks and snorkels. Toys such as boats, water guns and
inflatable toys/rafts are not permitted. The only inflatable items permitted in
the pool are infant flotation devices but when in use an adult must be within
arms reach at all time. THE BOTTOM DRAINS OF THE POOL MUST BE VISIBLE AT ALL
TIMES by Florida State Dept. of Health. Kickboards, used as intended, are
permitted in lap lanes only but may be restricted at the attendant’s discretion
in the event of safety concerns.
The pool attendant on duty has final authority when deciding to
permit or restrict any items. All decisions will be made with consideration
first and foremost to safety and then to prevent any members from infringing on
other members’ ability to enjoy the pool. If you do not agree with a decision
that is made please feel free to contact the Pool Attendant Supervisor or a
member of the Board of Directors.
